colorado

we are back from colorado and luis is finishing up his spring break [he's a teacher].

it was wonderful to visit my sister and brother-in-law, and we had a great time skiing, spending time with family, and eating A LOT... like a WHOLE LOT.

until, of course, almost everyone on the trip got sick [besides luis and i... go team tovar!] and we had to leave early. it was insanity. people were dropping like flies. first a little bit of coughing and then BAM! fevers and fatigue, and in the case of my sweet nephew, elm, vomiting. all that aside, i know we will look back and laugh at the absurdity of it.

now we are just working on the house and relaxing until luis goes back to work. i love having him home all day.

I've decided to try my hand at embroidery.
I know, I know... I'm random, but I'm okay with that.

Seriously? Too cute.

We are in the process of fixing up our kitchen. We just finished painting the floors last night, but they need to dry for at least 24 hours between coats, so we set up this nice little barrier for the dogs. It's been up since Tuesday evening... Try to imagine not having access to your kitchen at all for 72 hours. It's been interesting to say the least.

Tomorrow morning is going to be splendid! I miss my refrigerator.

My plans for tomorrow: Install and paint new baseboards, and install new cabinet hardware.
