Where do I even begin? I feel like so much has happened since my last post, which was only 6 days ago.

I mailed this scarf that I knit to my sister last week. It is her very belated birthday present [her birthday was a month ago!]. I started working on it two weeks before her birthday, which should allow plenty of time to get it done, except that I ran out of yarn... and they no longer sell it in stores. So after much searching, I found the yarn online, had it shipped to me, finished the scarf and mailed it to her 3 weeks after her birthday. Cate, I am sorry this was so late, but I hope it keeps you warm during those cold Colorado winters!

In other news, I just got back from New York City yesterday, where I stayed with one of my dearest friends. So stay tuned for pictures from that fabulous trip!

During the 5 days that I was out of town, my husband bought a dog [He's always wanted a German Shepherd and there happened to be one for sale at our local animal shelter]. I am picking him up from the vet today. I've never had a big dog, and I've never had a boy dog, so I am very excited and very nervous/curious at the same time! I'll post pictures of him soon!
